Back from SXSW 2009!
I had the privilege to speak on a panel at SXSW in Austin, TX this year entitled, “Hey – You Got Your P2 In My Redcode!” about the difference in HD IT-based workflow formats including Panasonic’s P2, Sony’s SxS and Red’s Redcode. I was there to share my thoughts about working with Sony’s SxS workflow which was used for several of our shoots recently including the Related spots.
Don Downie, filmmaker and partner of the production company Small Media Extra Large was the moderator as well as panelists Scott Colthorp of Atmosphere Pictures, John Fiege of Fiege Films and filmmaker Denis Jensen.
I also had the chance to do some post work for SXSW thanks to my friend Joe Nicolosi of Fish Rockit Studios who headed up their editing department. While there I met Carlos Corral from Mind Warp Entertainment who is just finishing up his latest indie feature called “Hands of God”. You can check out some of the highlights of the festival on their YouTube channel in case you couldn’t make it. Between the panel discussions, movies, music and parties it was a fun and informative ten days well spent.

Opera Bob
Fix yourself a tall glass of scotch, dim the lights and click here for a strong dose of operatic culture. Agon recently teamed up with good friend, Opera Bob (Robert Balonek) to film a simplistic, yet legendary exclusive rendition of ‘Mein Sehnen Mein Wänen’.
What does this video have to do with anything, you say? Think of it as the calm before the storm that we are currently brewing up…
Opera Bob is available to rent on Valentines Day. Inquire here.

Happy New Year to all! Our latest commercial for Related is finished and up on our Work page. Thanks again to everyone who helped make both spots.
Many thanks to Justin Talbott, our site designer & developer, the man who took a blank plot of land in cyberspace and made it our very own cyberhome.
As the new year approaches and we enter a fresh era, please join in the festivities as we begin The Agon Creative.
Happy Holidays.
